ilke Homes, a British modular homes business, has announced partnerships to deliver an additional 56 new modular properties across the UK - The projects mark a significant step in the business’ plans to deliver up to 2,000 modular homes a year, in an effort to help solve the UK’s housing shortage.
Highlighting the growing interest in modern methods of construction such as offsite, ilke Homes will be delivering high-quality, desirable modular properties this summer for partners including Engie, Keepmoat Homes, Homes England, Home Group, Newcastle City Council and Places for People in communities in the Midlands, the North East, the South West, Yorkshire and Humber.
By using precision engineering techniques, ilke Homes will support its partners by providing additional capacity to the traditional construction methods. Additionally, employment opportunities will be created through the schemes, as the construction of offsite homes and delivery on-site offers the chance for a variety of new roles within the construction sector.
B. Conway, CEO of ilke Homes said: “It’s refreshing to see the housing industry recognising the potential offsite manufacturing holds for the UK’s housing market. We’re looking forward to working closely with our like-minded partners to deliver inspiring, energy-efficient homes for real families across the UK. Our mission as a business is to build better homes and build them in a better way and these partnerships are the first step in us making a real difference to the industry.”
